Uganda Tri-State Community Association (UTCA) is a 501 (c)(3), non-partisan, non-profit association serving Ugandans and friends of Uganda across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
UTCA exists to strengthen cultural identity, social connection, and the economic and educational, mental and psychological wellbeing of the community through empowerment programs, professional networking, youth mentorship, retiree support, and investment-focused initiatives.
We aim to support and connect Ugandans in the Tri-State area by promoting cultural identity, social engagement, education, economic growth, and community support. UTCA fosters a sense of family through events, outreach, and partnerships, keeping members informed, empowered, and proud of their heritage.
To create a vibrant, supportive Ugandan community in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut that values its culture and contributes locally and globally. UTCA aims to be a reliable hub where cultural heritage is maintained, unity is fostered, and prosperity is advanced through collaboration and purposeful action. We celebrate and preserve Ugandan heritage by creating space for cultural pride, traditions, and shared identity within the diaspora community.

To address cultural, educational, social, and economic needs of Ugandans residing in the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey, & Connecticut by organizing cultural festivals, business forums, and webinars designed to promote professional development, health, and economic advancement within the community.
To offer Ugandans, especially youth and retirees in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) with a supportive community through annual mentorship and wellness programs that promote cultural identity, unity, and well-being.
To organize annual fundraising events to support charitable programs in the diaspora that promote relief, rehabilitation, and economic self-sufficiency for Ugandans mainly in the Tri-State area.
To establish effective partnerships with other organizations by collaborating and leveraging collective donor networks to enhance visibility, promote the exchange of ideas, and support the organization’s long-term financial stability.
To function as a comprehensive resource center providing information about Uganda, Ugandan diaspora communities, and the United States through our website, magazines, and newsletters, thereby promoting pride, patriotism, and effective service delivery within our community.
